Two-layered corrugated board is mainly used in the furniture industry. It is used to wrap-up different kinds of goods in order to protect them.
Three-layered corrugated board is mainly used in food industry, tobacco industry, chocolate and cakes industry and we are recommending packaging of goods up to 15 kg of weight.
Five-layered corrugated board is mainly used in metal industry, wood industry, chemical industry etc. We are recommending packaging of goods between 15 and 30 kg weight.
Seven-layered corrugated board is mainly used for packaging of goods that have higher weight, from 100 up to maximum 200 kg, and it applies to various industries.
Boards and boxes can be made with following heights of flutes (height of flute refers to the fluted part of board or box):
- B flute – 2,7 mm
- C flute – 3,6 mm
- E flute – 1,25 mm
Height of flute directly influences on thickness of the box/board as well as on its mechanical characteristics such as hardness, ability to absorb punches etc.
Length of cut and working widths
Length of cut of corrugated board from 600 up to 4500 mm and working widths are 1600mm, 1800mm and 2100 mm. |
